ABOUT

I offer vocal tuition in popular music and musical theatre, with a focus on building confidence for performance or leisure. For the past 15 years I have worked with a range of pupils from beginner to professional, both privately and in schools. My lessons provide a relaxed atmosphere where students are able to develop their 'sound' at their own pace and with music that they love! I also provide singing tuition and weekly music workshops for students with special needs. I work in South Somerset and provide lessons both in schools and at home.

Over the past few years, I have been studying the vocal pedagogy of Jo Estill, having completed the Advanced course in the Estill Voice Method at The Royal College Of Music in London. Learning this model has enabled my students to extend their vocal capabilities through knowledge of the physiology of the voice. As a classically trained musician, graduating with a degree in Music from Cardiff University, I can also offer pupils a solid foundation in theory and technique. I also hold a first class Masters degree in Music from Bath Spa University in songwriting so I can offer tuition in songwriting alongside if required.

When I am not teaching I also work as a songwriter/producer, collaborating with artists in the current music scene including Johnny Stimson, Darla Jade, SOFY and Ivor Novello Award Winning Artist, Mysie. My music is published with Bucks Music Group and I was recently awarded the PRS and Spotify hitmaker fund. I like to keep up to date with the current vocal trends, incorporating them into my teaching and helping my students find their own unique voice.

I hold an enhanced DBS check and I am fully insured.
